Mae Sai & The Golden Triangle

Mae Sai (แม่สาย) is northernmost district of Chiang Rai Province in northern Thailand.

Border Crossing Bridge to Myanmar (formerly known as Burma)
The town of Mae Sai is a major border crossing between Thailand and Myanmar.

Nam Tok Moo Noodle

Bought lots of this cute little shirt keychain! 10 for 100 Baht.

Any idea what this is?
It's a bracelet.
A two-way bracelet.
Only 10 Baht each!
Can choose between gold, silver and rainbow colour somemore.
If you can negotiate, try 11 for 100 Baht :P

The Golden Triangle (สามเหลี่ยมทองคำ, crossing Burma, Thailand,Vietnam and Laos) is one of Asia's two main illicit opium production area.
(Another one is the Golden Crescent crossing Pakistan and Afghanistan)

Buddha Statue Next to Mekong River
We then went on a short boat tour along the Mekong River.

Casino on the bank of Mekong River (Laos side)

Nice photos! The last time I went to Thailand was back in... 1997, I think. But it was only Bangkok and Phuket. Never been there ever since. :)
