Spent 3 days 2 nights of our Raya holiday at La Pari-Pari, and it was superb!

In addition to that calming atmosphere, fatCUPID (which is in the same premise) just has the ability to make us fall in love with their food.

A complimentary plate of wontons for hotel guest who dine in, else it would be RM15.

Jason claimed that this would be the best wontons he ever had, and I second that!

Great Barrier Reef (Fish and Chips) RM25

"Beer-battered fish fillets, served with fries,salad and tartare sauce"

I was a bit skeptical when Jason chose this from the menu, which I usually don't.

In my opinion, fish and chips usually has low level of creativity, which means that it can't go worse, but wouldn't be better. Just an average dish.

Yet fatCUPID has just proved me wrong. 

The addition of beer into normal battered fish fillets was perfect: It brings in aroma, yet at the same time does not overshadow the taste of fish.

The french fries was good too, crispy and not too greasy.

Salad was pretty appetizing. 

The tartare sauce was another thing worth mentioning.

Nyonya Laksa RM23

"A tradiitonal Northern Malaysian Laksa!

A spicy coconut cream base Laksa, served with a choice of bee hoon(rice vermicelli) or mee(egg noodle) and or both mixed, comes with fried tofu puffs, halved hard boiled egg, long beans, shredded chicken and garnished with mints and local fragrant leaves."

Great recommendation from them and we can see why.

Jason loves the natural sweetness of this muffin. 

Tasted like banana cake with chocolate chips.

I had the option of upgrading my breakfast for a rebate of RM6, which I did.

On the very same day, La Pari-Pari together with fatCUPID held open house event for Eid Celebration.

So we got invited for dinner.Thank you fatCUPID!

Chicken Satay

Unlike others, these were not over-grilled with burnt edges, and still maintaining the juiciness inside the marinated meat.

Went really well with the peanut sauce.

As we were supposed to leave for our room, Jason complimented the chef, Keith saying it's the best satay ever and that he should include it in the menu! 

I certainly did not see that coming from this super picky tongue-spoiled Ipohian.

In fact, this was my first time seeing him praising the chef. 

And how rare do we come to know the chef's name? almost none.

By the way, the satay was already in the menu.

The omelette was great! Best omelette I've ever had.

Couldn't agree more with that.

If you notice in the food photos, these dishes are rather common in menu. 

But what makes us fall in love with it?

I believe it was made with love, along with the fresh ingredients, and the detail in food quality.

As picky eater, we set our bar to be quite high and simply not easy to be pleased. 

Thus only few had made to it our Must-Go-Again List.

fatCUPID had just made it to top of the list!

It is no surprise that fatCUPID made it to 3rd over 174 restaurants in Langkawi at Tripadvisor.

The location was rather hard to be discovered.

To be exact, it is located behind Sun Block.
