The neighbourhood was built on foundation of artistics under the influence of Hongdae art college.
Many boutique shops available here with its own unique design and crafts.
Cafes and live music venues available here, thus considered as the mecca of urban arts and underground club culture.

A wide range of street food can be seen around Hongdae area in the form of stall vendor.
Eat it the local way, as I always prefer.

Compared to other parts of Seoul, I personally prefer Hongdae for its cultural atmosphere: indie spirit, street arts and music.
It feels very much lively compared to other shopping district and certainly a good place for a cup of tea.
If I were to visit Seoul again, Hongdae is definitely my choice of accommodation with its cheap B&B and guesthouses.
